A small selection of the freshest and mouth-wateringly tastiest sushi in Bath. By a country mile. Dashi's sushi is a secret for London-bound rail travellers, mostly because a valid rail ticket is required to get to the door, but also, I suspect, becuase long suffering First Great Western customers don't want other commuters to share their only perk.

If you've got plenty of time before your train at Bath Spa train station, and you're in need of a cup of tea, you've got two options; Pumpkin Café or Dashi Sushi. Personally, I always head to Dashi where the drinks are a bit more expensive but way more enjoyable.
With a wider selection of drinks that Pumpkin, you'll be able to choose from a range of coffees, herbal teas, flavoured waters and soya drinks. The range of food they serve at Dashi is much more interesting as well. You can choose from sushi (obviously!), crisps, cakes, cookies and wasabi peas (my personal favourite). The staff are friendly, the background music is interesting and the café is a great place to people watch and keep an eye on the train times.
It's definitely not the best café in the world, or even Bath, but it is the best of a bad situation if you've got time to kill at the train station. -

I'm a mega-fan of sushi, and one of the (few) pleasures iof being stuck at a Railway Station is finding one with a sushi bar.
The outlet on the platform at Bath is bright, clean and stylish, and serves excellent quality food.
The only complaint I have is the perch-on stools. It might be trendy but I could do without the inevitable wriggling and balancing to clamber up! And the tables themselves are a bit on the small side.
But apart from that, it's perfect. Service always comes with a smile, and there is the Customer Loyalty card system whereby you get a stamp for stuff you buy that will eventually enable you to get a freebie.
